Clive Barker is an author of fantasy/horror and is the man behind the film series Hellraiser and Candyman.

Following on from the success of both of these films, Hellraiser back in 1987 and the Candyman in 1992, the author/director decided that his next project would be an adaptation of his 1988 book Cabal, which was renamed Nightbreed.

The story follows a young man named Boone, who is suffering from an unspecified mental disorder. Boone is falsely led to believe by his doctor that he is a serial killer. Boone dreams of an underground city filled with monsters and outcasts known as the “Nightbreed” who hide from society.

Boone joins ranks with the Nightbreed after transforming into a creature himself and he soon has to lead them in a fight for survival when their secret lair is uncovered by humans intent on wiping them out.

It now seems that Barker is teaming up with Jigsaw writer Josh Stolberg to develop a Nightbreed TV series for Syfy.

The TV series will follow the outcast monsters as they try to find a new refuge when their old home is destroyed.

We will keep you posted with any updates we hear about the Nightbreed Tv series.
