Lee Ingleby (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) and Hermione Norris (Cold Feet), lead the cast in new four-part drama serial Innocent, heading to ITV.

Written by acclaimed writers Chris Lang and Matt Arlidge, Innocent will start on ITV on Monday 14 May at 9 pm and will continue throughout the week, with the final episode on Thursday at the same time.

The new drama series tells the compelling story of David Collins played by Ingleby, who is living nightmare.

Convicted of murdering his wife Tara, David has served seven years in prison. He’s lost everything he held dear: his wife, his two children and even the house he owned. He’s always protested his innocence and faces the rest of his life behind bars. His situation couldn’t be more desperate.

Despised by his wife family and friends, his only support has been his faithful brother Phil, played by Daniel Ryan (Mount Pleasant) who has stood by him, sacrificing his own career and livelihood to mount a tireless campaign to prove his brothers innocence.

It’s up to DI Cathy Hudson and her team to check out the case and approach it from scratch. Hudson is determined to find out if David really did kill his wife.

Innocent starts on ITV on Monday 14 May at 9 pm. Check out the trailer below.
